Sail Training Association Belgium is proud to be one of the founding members of Sail Training International (STI). In Sail Training International all national sail training organisations (STA's) are represented. STA-B is the Belgium representative.
Since 1956 STI organizes the Tall Ships Races. A race where the biggest ships (Tall Ships) are competing with classic and modern yachts. In the race there are four categories of vessels:
A class: the biggest Tall Ships
B class: the classic sailing yachts
C class: modern yachts without spinnaker
D class: modern yachts with spinnaker
At least halve of the crew should be youngsters aged between 15 and 25!
